Hi all, a certain site is offering an Optoma HD700x 1300 ANSI 720P and an Optoma Panoview 84'' Home Cinema Projector Screen (Matte White) delivered for 479.99. Is this a good price? I'm tempted..

It used to be £430 I believe for the same deal....but I guess exchange rates have affected it, I'm gonna wait till after xmas before getting this, maybe pickup a cheaper deal

Thanks for the inopt Scott, i didn't really have any price to abse this off but it seems reasonably cheap to me. And at times like this they should be dropping prices to make people buy not raising!

yeh having read into it more you could pick the projector up for 260 a few months back apparently, im gnot gona bother i dont think..

I'm sorry but that projector has never been anywhere near that price (260) new and if your and as long as you don't have a problem with seeing rainbows on DLP projectors then that is still a bargain at that price tbh, especially considering you get a free screen which are normally around £150/200 for a half decent one at that size.

ahh ok, £360 yes, but it has gone up now, and edit out the competitor as well please as they sell computer components, if you are serious about taking a first step into the world of projectors then you can't really go wrong at with that setup for the price.

Not so long ago projectors used to be a luxury, usually costing upwards of 2 thousands pounds, my old panny non-HD projector cost me £1400 4/5 years ago, nowadays I look at 720p projectors like the HD700x or the HD65 going for under £500 and laugh, that really is chump change for a 720p projector.

It most certainly is, I paid 800 notes for my Z3 over 3 years ago & I thought it was a bargain then (that was a clearance price though).
