Chinese food

If you go to a terrible Chinese Takeaway then yes, if you go to a good one then no. I love Chinese takeaway and we have 3 good ones near us, never a problem over here.

The meat has effectively been steamed, the batter keeps the meat moist and absorbs the sauce. It's fantastic.
However 4 in 5 takeaway places or even higher do taste like rubbish.

please stop talking about it.

i had a chinese last night and im tempted to repeat that :(

The chinese from my local takeaway tastes like its been fished out of a bin, chucked into a big vat of grease, shoved in a microwave then served.

I don't really eat from there anymore, the whole place (and people who own it) looks filthy dirty

Depends on where you get it from. I've had bad Chinese food and I've had great Chinese food. I love it when it is good.

And you don't always have to go for battered chicken you know...

do you like the hot, sour, sweet, salty full bodied flavour. If you don't like such strong flavours you probably wont like it at all.

But what I can't understand is how restaurants and takeaways don't close down. I mean how the hell do people keep going back there and getting food.

Chinese food tastes completely different depending what country you are in, they adjust it for the local market. So I can imagine the American market is set towards quantity rather than quality.
