Fabregas is Arsenal's main player. I tried buying him with Barcelona and Arsenal wanted £118m upfront then £20m+ over 12 months. Ridiculous.

They've just bought back Flamini for £36.5m :o

Fabregas and Wallcott are awesome already. They didn't need to be splashing the cash.

Lo fellas,

Where can i get some good training regimes from to download, and also which directory would I put them in?

Thanks!

Shamikebab's on my site. :)

Download to C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Account>\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2009\Schedules.

You may need to create the Schedules folder if it isn't already there. :)

Or try Tug's training. Comes very highly recommended. :)

Try playing with them and get good results, I struggled to get 5th in my first year. I did win FA Cup tho. I am doing better ing 2nd year but still not thrashing people.

What team do they put out and what tactics?

God damnit, injuries are still annoyingly frequent despite the patch. Long-term injuries seem to be much more common as well, of the players that are out right now, one has a broken leg (6 months), one a broken foot (5 months), one a torn calf (5 months) and another a torn hamstring (4 months). I can barely half-fill the bench at the moment, and it's not like I've got a small squad either!

Edit: the game decides to punish me for whining, as soon as I post that screenshot, I click continue, and bam! Gláuber has done his knee, out for a month. Nearly half my first team are in the treatment room, and I only have one uninjured centre-back ;-(

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Im At Madrid, and in the Champions Leauge I have a tough group, with Porto, Liverpool and Palinkthaios.

Anyway, before the 5th game, the table was like this-

Porto- 7
At Madrid- 7
Liverpool- 5
Palinkthaios- 4

Fixtures - Porto vs At Madrid
Palinthiaos vs Liverpool

Firstly I score through Raul Garcia, then I conceed 3 goals. Helton scores a own goal in the 66nd and I think I have a chance. Aguero misses a 1 on 1 (open goal more or less) and he gets injured so I take him off. THEN I GET A PENALTY AND BLOODY PONGOLLE WHO HAS YET TO SCORE STEPS UP, HE MISSES.

YES HE MISSES.

I LOSE 3-2, AND IM OUT OF THE CHAMPS LEAGUE.

Liverpool win 1-0 and now the table is like this-

Porto-10
Liverpool-8
At Madrid-7
Palalalal-4

ARGH

I think I'm going to cry.

So many games, against weaker teams. I must have had around 3-4 clear cut chances, hit the post 3-4 times, and in the last 5mins I conceed.

It can be annoying, yes. I find changing to a counter attacking style at the end of those kind of games helps a lot, especially if the opponents have changed to the dreaded 4-2-4 end-game-formation (I've even seen 2-4-4 occasionally).

Saying that, I always play a counter attacking style now and don't suffer from what you describe too much, but when I didn't (virtually the whole of my first season) it did help changing to it when needed.

Basically got the lineup i want now, just spent about £20m on under 18s, all with potential to be better than my best players, Arshavin, Akinfeev etc.

I still haven't got a definite formation but ill post who i have in each position for first team, and a youth who will replace those that will need it in a year or so.

Current players in each position;

GK: Akinfeev / Asenjo / Ustari

DL: Kolarov / Berezutskiy
DC: Beevers / Eric / Ignasevich
DC: Davies / Hangeland / Ignasevich
DR: Anyukov / Santon

DM: Matuidi
MC: Ireland / Bullard
MC: Woods / Matuidi

AML: Downing
AMC: Arshavin / Jimenez
AMR: Santon / Wright-Philips / Dempsey

ST: Balotelli / Huntelaar / Saviola

I have under 20s that are potentially better than my players currently in; GK, DL, DC, DM, AML, AMR, AMC, ST.

Anyone got an idea for a good DR, preferably quite young. I have a very good lineup of youngsters, Joe Woods is only 18 and pushes Stephen Ireland for a place.
