So yeah, this looks like it is actually reaching the final stages of development. This mod has been one big delay, but bloomin heck it looks good:

Looks better than most commercial games in the 2009 lineup.

EDIT: I just realised there must have been a typo in my search or something, there is already a thread. Do what you wish with this, but the other is in the console section for some reason.

That is definitely looking delicious indeed, we'll see whether they'll manage to capture the feel of the original game (which is no easy task even for a 10 year old game).
 
Looks nice but im really sick of hl alien things them jumping things and them zombie type things where humans with things on their head. I just hate em to death, gimme some just somit diff and id be happy.
 
lol i was in the toilet doing a big poo and thinking for my self how would a hl look in nice gfx and did ever anyone thought of doin' it... and now i find this thread.. :D
 
Really looking forward to this :) Will be interesting to see if they bring anything new to the combat aspect of the game, although they probably don't really need to :p
 
Looks great but tbh with you the main attraction with HL1 was the story. Even with the improved gfx this won't have the same effect as it did the first time you played it which is a real shame :(

But just think when the last time you played through HL1 was?

For me it must have been seven years ago or so, cant wait to have a run though it again... think of all the memories that will come flooding back!

yeah definately, must be years since i played HL1, even been a good while since HL2.

Looks great.
 
not really a fan of hl
it does look nice tho, im happy for all you hl fans ! must be good when a game like this is due

BLASPHEME !!!!! you couldnt be more wrong fella, its a nostalgia trip with improved gfx music action etc etc .... HL does still stand the test of time with its scripted parts, enthralling story and AAAGHHH bits.

its this dedicated MODDing scene that separates the PC from the drivel and churn console gamers get. I personally would be happy to pay for this game, and if only.. IF only this gang decided to redo 'Day of Sex' i'd sell my daughter !!! ]8-
