Tell me about the Fiat 500 1.4 sport

I was looking at the same.

What purpose will she be using it for? I have driven both, and suprisingly the 1.2 feels a little more fun. Its also roughly £1500 cheaper, is more economical and is peanuts to tax.

Thought about the Lounge spec also? Nicer place to sit in, but not as... sporty i guess..

General town and commute, would be after a second hand one around the 10k mark. Will have a look at the loiunge - what's the main difference ?

Standard equipment on both Sport and Lounge versions includes the Blue & MeTM hands-free media system, air conditioning and 15” alloy wheels. Sport specification includes a rear roof spoiler, fog lights, sports interior and dark tinted rear windows, standard climate control, rear head restraints and colour coded heated door mirrors

Lounge trim includes a leather steering wheel, split folding rear seat and fixed glass roof.

For £10k or so, you may well be better off just going ahead and buying new. The 2.5% VAT discount may well be the most you'll get off one - FIAT dealers are simply refusing to discount them, which will hopefully keep residuals quite high.

I'm looking at getting a 1.2 Lounge for the gf, at the moment it doesnt seem worth paying extra for the 1.4 or 1.3 due to the £1500 ish difference and the hike in running costs.

Should be able to get a new 1.2 Sport/Lounge for £9000, or a new 1.4 Lounge/Sport for about £10400

Agree with everything above. Having been to the dealers and tried a few out, the lounge spec is the one to go for.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with the 1.4. The 1.2 will suffice and its more economical and cheaper to tax.

The 1.3 diesel has some impressive figures but I'm not sure its worth the rather sizeable price difference.

Surely if this is the case this would leave him ample room for negotiation why buying used.
