I always take my rubbish and put it in the bin on the way out(after all you usually have to pass at least two bins before you get out of the door)as i believe that is what you should do. The bins are there for the customers to put their rubbish in. Now i was in there the other day and a group of 4 lads got up and left without clearing their table, much to my disgust. Ok so you may say thats what the staff are there for, fair enough its part of their duties to keep the place clean and tidy but what if its busy, how many times have you gone into macdonalds when its busy and had to clear your own table because the staff are serving and dont have time to clear the tables. I for one hate having to clear away someone else's rubbish because they are too lazy to put it on one of the many bins they have to physically pass to get out of the place.

What is so hard about putting your own rubbish in the bin on the way out ? To those that leave the rubbish, if you walked into macdonalds and the only table left was full of the previous customers rubbish would you put it in the bin or leave it until a member of staff cleared it ?

Leave the rubbish. Otherwise some poor pleb is gonna get a rollocking from their supervisor for not clearing your table.

Edit sweary. And that's illogical. How can a supervisor give 'some poor pleb' hassle just because the place looks tidy?

I know McDonald's is McDonalds but that doesn't mean they deserve any less respect than anywhere else you and others frequent.

It depends on the situation, I'd normally try to clear up after myself but in some eateries it isn't possible without inconveniencing other diners as the bins are hidden behind them so it is simpler (and probably politer) to allow the staff to clean up and go past once rather than having multiple people making the trip past them and disturbing their meal.

I work there and only about 20% of people bin there rubbish in Dundee. back in Edinburgh nearly everyone did. Dundonians are lazy slobs! Whenever someone does put it in the bin I thank them, and if it is school children I ask them to bin it or not come back.

McDonald's workers are normal people too. They deserve respect. I'm only working there to get some money while at uni.

People who dont put their rubbish in the bin when they have finished are animals. It's a shame they are the most prevelant customer type in McDonalds.

If you're beside the bin, yes. If not, no.

I haven't been in McDonalds in years though. Burger King is much preferred for that 'type' of food.

I always take my tray and dump the rubish in the collection bin and put the tray ontop.

Then again, I'm not a ****

Bin, its only pick up tray, shove in bin, tilt and put on top.

How hard is that? there is no wiping or packing anything.

How can you say "if your beside a bin, yes", you always have to pass a bin to get out, even if you sit outside there is always a bin within a 6ft of you - shear laziness on your behalf !!!

I'm keeping someone in a job. I'm good that way. ;)
Theres plenty to do if even if you put it in the bin. theres emptying the bins and wiping the tables etc.

On another note some retard put a bunch of needles in the bin. I could have got aids emptying it!
