Corsair Power Supply Survey

Done, i have had 2 corsair PSU in the past, my first blew up after 3 months of usage but I sent it for RMA and got a replacement and its been in top shape for 7 months now :D

Done.

Although some hard choices in there.

I didn't actually put 'previous experience' as part of why i would buy another PSU, but if there was a fourth choice, I would look at what Corsair was offering first, as I've found mine to be fantastic. Cool and quiet, with never having a random crash even though overclocked. Only reasons for me to upgrade at the moment are lack of connectors if I went to dual graphics cards that requried 2 pci-e connectors each, or if I intended a mega overclock with a heavily overclocked high-end graphics card.

BTW... Am I still able to get the 8 pin PCI-E connectors for my HX520W?

Done. I agree with Scougar. I want my survey to read "The PSU has to be perfect in every area I consider important. Less than perfect and it's not getting bought".

They seem to be under the impression that they need to focus on one particular area.

For me the PSU has to be modular, efficient, quiet, powerful, safe, durable. If it doesn't do one of those then throwing more watts in isn't going to sell it.

No <500W for next purchase :/

Also, question 9 seems messed up, when I select something on the "High Efficiency" part it removes the answer from another part of that question. Question 8 appears to be the same.

Can't complete the survey due to that.

you can't pick 2 of the same numbers, you're supposed to rate one to five in order of importance, 5 being the most important and 1 the lowest, confused me at first

ive done it too

It fails tbh, it asks me to complete questions 8 and 9. But when i try and choose a rating for each of them I can only choose 3 out of the 5 questions, and when I answer another it removes one of the previous selection boxes.

As has been said, there's a built in IQ test. You can only have one thing rated 1, one thing rated 5, one thing rated 4 etc.

It's a shame there was no mention of OEMs since I think that can be a big factor for a lot of people. Would Corsair have hit the market with quite so much force if they had chosen someone other than Seasonic to build their units?

They may have fallen flat. If Seasonic hadn't made them I wouldn't have bought mine. At the time it was the best on the market, made by a company with a good reputation. The Corsair badge had little to do with it.
