Call Of Duty 5 or Left 4 Dead?

Hi there, I have and like both, but a friend was asking which one I'd recommend he gets. COD5 does have a good gameplay and the option to play totally alone. It also has a better storyline to it. Left 4 Dead has more atmosphere to it and also has a good coop. Versus is also awesome. Bear in mind that my friend already has COD2+4 so I think L4D would be something more different. What do you all think?

I enjoyed L4D more, the COD 5 SP wasnt half bad, not played it online but i hear its similar to COD 4, L4D is a nice refreshing change (especially playing the infected side).

Both are pretty damn good online.

Slightly off-topic, but do you have to play L4D online with 3 others or is there also a SP mode?

There is an SP mode aswell mate, although it's probably rubbish, not tried it yet. Co-op and versus is where the fun is

single player is exactly the same as online campaign, except the other three survivors are controlled by bots.

I am loving L4D. Best online shooter in a long while. It is so much fun playing in a good group.
Pretty tactical really when you think about it. It may seem like a blast fest but with a good group of players, all covering each other etc its brilliant.

Not tried VS yet. Still enjoying the co-op!
