Instead of the usual OCUK threads about relationships going bad, thinking she's cheating and all the rest I thought I would post a thread with a result!

Anyways, so me and my GF had been going through a bit of a rough patch where both our courses (me architecture, her teaching) had gotten on top of us and we had no spare time to spend with each other! This had been going on for around a month and I must have seen her 3 times max and its just not the way to keep a relationship going so last nyte we spoke and decided to just end it!

We have parted ways and she said the whole "we'll keep in touch, be friends" etc etc but of course I'm not naive enough to take any of that as serious plus it's always best to have a clean break!

My mates got together with me and we got out for a couple of beers last night and had a great laugh together, was a good time indeed!

Although I'm expecting jesus to make an appearance somewhere its just good to type stuff down sometimes!

My advice to anyone in similar situations is just dont take too long to end things with your gf or what not as it becomes more difficult to do! I'll miss her but I already know I made the right decision here and it will be good for both of us!

On another note I now have around £300 I had sorted for her 21st(13th) and Xmas presents saved so what should I now spend that on?!

You sound so cut up about this...big hugs for you! :(

As for the money question, I'd quite like a nice sparkly watch for xmas... :D

on women...get them to do all the nasty stuff she refused to do.
that should help rid of her memory

The PGCE year was hell for my girlfriend and me. I don't think she knows quite what I went through, and I wasn't even doing the course.

Still, she seemed to appreciate it.

Yeah, it always feels like that a couple of days after you do it. Like it was such a great idea, your friends were instantly there to help you and always will be right?

It's in a few weeks when the rest of the emotions come in.

Well its my post grad myself and her final year so its just been a bad combination of the both which caused it!

I mean these things happen though best not to dwell on it and what better way to get over it by getting involved in the festivities of xmas :D

Praise be

To allah, a real man for once.
No the " I am gonna die coz she left me, or "a girl just looked at me does this mean we are married", or "my girl just humped 10 guys and a donkey should I dump her".
So refreshing.:)

lol greebo :p

good work on sorting it out and not thinking 'lets wait until after xmas' and both having a bad time.
