Is there any new info about Test drive unlimited, seems ages since the first one came out.

There was a mention of a sequel towards the start of the year but then immediately after that news came out that Atari were having a financial crisis and a big one at that. After that no additional news came out.

I was registered to their official TDU forums for ages and prayed that they would address various issues. The devs did create a feedback & wishlist thread but nothing came of it despite the fact that it was huge (60 pages+).

Yes ive just read an article on Voodoo extreme where Atari say, they will be releasing further instalments for it but not for some time yet.

i did the same thing, ive got it on pc though. never saw another person, it was like having the whole island to my self. if i ever did see anyone else, which was rare, they were always laggy.

The fan base on 360 is much larger than it is/was on PC. Having had both, it was like night and day.

Also the PC version was practically broken.

interesting, how much can this be had for then? i did enjoy it on the pc but if there are actual other players it could be more fun on the 360.

Does anyone know if the original TDU servers are still running for the 360? I thought I might rent it to tide me over til Deus Ex comes next week. I've already played TDU2 and was just curious as to how the first compares.
