you got 50 pts cos you got killed quickly! one of the round you won by 200pts i think... and no we didn't get tank 4 times at the start...

Yes, they did. Four times in a row, we got a tank at the spawn point. I can see why dampcat was annoyed, it was like the director was taking the absolute ****. One minute into the survivor round, we'd all be on half health :/

im sure it was 3 times... how would we get tank 4 times in a row if we failed at 1st time... 2nd round we didnt get tank either... you did! so thats 3 not 4 :P and it's obvious that is not our foult is it ? :)
 
Whats the difference from having to fight the tank at the start,middle or end of a level? Atleast at the start you get to fight him with full health.
 
Can someone quickly check their left 4 dead ingame brightness value please? I changed mine from default when I should not have and forgot what it was!

Just change it to what looks right? I lowered mine, prefer the deeper shadows.

I enjoyed the company/back up & know exactly where you are coming from. For me Campaign is a Casual affair with loads of laughs & plenty of fun where as Versus is a Competitive environment that brings out the worst in me as well. :o
Like BF2, Source & any other competitive FPS I rage when I play & that is what makes me better than average. On Versus the Bugged imbalance between rounds really ***** me off :p
Don't get me wrong I love versus & my competitve streak & getting bang into my gaming & raging through my FPS, I also Love chilling & having fun though & L4D on Campaign does that for me Perfectly.
There are two distinct game types in L4D & I really have to be in the right mood for either :cool:

Enjoyed myself last night loving the team play that L4D gives,will be up for some more killing tonight.
 
This is typical of any team FPS for me - it can be so much fun, or so frustrating I'd rather just quit out and go try something else.

I nipped into a public versus last night and two of the guys on my team were totally clueless. Despite that, me and the other guy did ok whilst infected, but as survivors we got spanked every time. Very frustrating. By the time we were approaching the finale, I was fuming at the other two and I had to leave.

Playing campaign can be just as bad, when people are lagging behind, or surging forward (and I don't mean just a 50 yards, I mean 200 yards behind for no apparent reason), getting caught out and calling everyone else noobs....

When it gets to the point I start taking a game so seriously that I'm considering verbally abusing someone, then I have to quit out :( :D

Saying that, I got into a versus game last night when it was set to Expert - neither team was lasting long - it was hilarious - but I just couldn't quit out :D

This is why i enjoy playing on my own servers. Rcon kickid is a god-send ;)
 
Does anyone else keep getting put on Japanese servers when they do 'join game in progress'. It's starting to hack me right off now, the ping is terrible.

If I can't join someone from here my process is to use something like http://www.game-monitor.com/search.php?game=left4dead2&location=GB and find an empty server with no one, or 3 people in it.

Join using console or add to server list while on L4D menu not from desktop.
Ask if they have mics
Establish if they have a useful grasp of the English language
Observe group for a couple of minutes to check they exhibit no retarded game techniques.
Play
Save server if ping is good.

It can still be a while to find a decent game, purely due to the nature of the game. I want to play on expert and that isn't possible when your team consists of:

Mr. Mute
Mr. Rambo
Mr. Bunny hopper
