Possibility of a bargain?

Nightmare.

[edit]And not just the looks either. It's been sat around not doing much for at least a year, and surely the only thing an Alfa does is drive well (supposedly, I've never driven one, their ugliness drives me away :() and that's an auto.

Awesome, always had a soft spot for these. My neighbour had a 5 speeder, jet black, colour-coded, lowered and uprated and it was a fantastic car, sounded great, went well and didn't give him too much hassle. Don't recall any major issues either, just minor things like interior electrics occasionally deciding they were pot plants.

Finding one that's been looked after properly and used is the key, really. Recieving proper servicing keeps them alive and the moment that slips...

Ok rather than starting a new thread I'll continue in this one....How about a Mitsubishi Galant? Quite interested in the saloon, but as with the alfa I know nothing about them. Any experienced galant drivers here?

I nearly bought a mint V6 Super Lusso for about £700 once. If you are going to buy one you might as well get one with a good spec, leather and full-balls V6 24V engine. Cambelts need doing a lot and will cost you many hundreds and require special tools so forget doing it yourself.

The HVAC controls are all electronic and fail with alarming regularity. If you buy one either buy as disposable toy or be prepared to spend money on it. They are great cars though.
