So what is everyones feelings on this game? I think it was awesome and brings back memories of the original trilogy that i loved so much, the locations were great and some rooms just left you in awe when you looked at the scope of it, and thought gee i have to get up there somehow. I hope the series carries on like this. The only issues i had was i found it a bit easy and far to short, and the camera is aweful until you get into the game and get used to it and then it doesnt bother you anymore. I just finished it tonight and its the first game since farcry three years ago that i have actually played to the end!! i loved it bring on another please.:)

Im really enjoying it, don't know how much ive got left to finish it though (i think im going for Thor's belt or something, im under that room with the big stone statues in chairs, where you put those 4x coloured tablets in to open it up), also probably going to be one of the few games ill finish as well, as i love all that puzzling, and having to find your way around by jumping/climbing etc.... :)

nah you got a fair way to go yet lodsamoney(lucky bugger) ya i know what you mean, my favorite types of games, do you reckon its a bit easy though?? and lunarwolf how dare you say that lol

I'm at the same place as you. Even though I don't get a lot of time to play it, I do seem to get into it. Finding a route after an hour of looking sure is satisfying :p

i prefer it to legend and anniversary, as i say one of the best games i have played in a long time. Only issues were the easiness and shortness

Yeah does seem a bit on the easy side, its the start of the climb that takes me a bit to find lol (when you have to get somewhere, like in that statue room i mentioned above, it took me a good while to find how to get up to get inside the door for the yellow one :p), but once i find the start its just a case of looking about, spotting the ledge to grab, or what you can jump to etc.... and its plain sailing. :)

Yeah know what you mean, as i mentioned above, took me ages to find how to get up to there, but once i finally found it and got up there, i was get in yer **** im up there at last. :D

I thought both Legend & Anniversary (best Crystal Dynamics TR game) were much better and more challenging. This game felt as though it was rushed & missing something (could it be the 2 levels which will be X360 paid DLC only:eek:).

Also it lacks any replayability which the other 2 games had. Obviously no Croft manor to explore & no time trials either. Even if you collect all the artifacts & treasures your reward is just some more concept art which is very lame.

Buggy as well even the controls which were rock solid on a 360 controller before are now glitched beyond belief due to poor collision detection forcing Lara to freeze up when you bump into almost anything:eek:

Eidos should hand TR over to another developer now to keep it fresh as so far this game has sold very poorly on all formats which is a waste as Anniversary was the best received so they have gone from best to worst in under 18 months:(

Not the longest game in the world but the story seemed to flow well to me. The bonus DLC is set after the main story apparently. I really dont expect the bonus levels to be anything meaningful with regards to the main story. Eidos announced the DLC even before the game was released - just another example of MS chucking money about to keep the competition at bay.

Must be selling badly as Eidos have teamed up with a high st specialist to offer the special edition for £17.61 (half price!!) if you buy it before 10th December.

I'm looking forward to this. Anniversary, whilst lacking somewhat from the original (Literally; rooms and missions had stuff missing, in some cases loads) but overall highly enjoyable and the first Tomb Raider I really enjoyed since the originals (Legend was poor). Looks good anyhow.

As I suspected some of that 360 only DLC (rumoured to be out on 21st Jan with both levels) was ripped out from the full game as Eidos knew the 360 version was the highest selling one and they lacked DLC material so took 40% of the content out of the finished game for the DLC.

Some of the sacked Crystal Dynamics staff who worked on it have posted about it here:

Then the games director (who also got the sack because of the low sales) posts a slightly different take on the story:
http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showpost.php?p=3380341&postcount=1

There are quite a few other posts on this subject from people who worked on the project then just got the sack and most are saying the same thing about the DLC being removed from the full game. Believe what you will but IMO some of the DLC was ripped out on purpose to generate more money from the hardcore TR fans (as they are the ones most likely to buy it). This obviously short changed all the PC & PS3 buyers as they get a smaller game and Eidos get to make more money by holding back and making the 360 exclusive DLC. So the only way you can get this DLC is to buy the 360 version and then pay 1600 MS points to download it.

Sounds like Underworld was doomed from the start as they started working on it after Legends finished and tragically the lead level designer sadly died in his sleep whilst the game was in production so no doubt that also had a big effect on its direction and lack of content (compared to the other TR games).

I know some people like the game as it is but to me its a massive let down especially compared to Anniversary & Legends:(

I think underworld is a good game but i still think Legend's is better, I just felt i got a lot more out of Legend's than i did with underworld, the good thing is Crystal Dynamics took what was wrong with Legends and fix it, but with the sort of hollow fell and the craptastic ending i would rate this one lower than Legend & Anniversary. :(
