Do dogs have emotions and feelings?

I'd say dogs do have emotions and feelings, I may just be anthropromorphising here but I don't think so. Very impressive work by that dog, I hope the other one was alright but somehow I doubt it.

There are thousands of examples of dogs who are traumatised and emotionally scared by things that happen to them.

I'm amazed at the attitude of some of the seemingly intelligent people on this board that think dogs are like big furry insects that cannot interact on any kind of emotional level.

If you think of it in evolutionary terms, then what humans have is only a more refined and developed version of what dogs (and maybe even fish, looking much further back up the chain) have... which is a system of responses geared towards survival in a 'pack'.

So, er, in a word... yes.
