I thought the octocamo was one of the best ideas in the game! Certainly better than the constant camo switching in MGS3.

Yeah the camo switching was annoying but I thought Octocamo ruined a lot of the need for stealth, plus half the time you stick out so much that you'd think the enemies have cataracts or something.

MGS4 basically subsitutes changing your camo by pressing select, going through some menus etc, selecting which one is most suitable, face, body, etc, and then doing it all over again 5 mins later, to pressing triangle. Am struggling to see how its ridiculous.

edit: Margaret, Octocamo doesnt always give you full cover + play it on Big Boss Extreme, they have superman vision then.

Ugh. Yes Octocamo removes the annoying menu switching, however regardless the camouflage system overall blows.

I wasn't saying switching manually was better, I meant the overall camo just plain sucks and takes away from the game. It's a core reason why MGS1 and 2 were better even if you were playing as a blonde homosexual.

Edit: Anyway back on subject, the Konami link has "MGST" in it so Metal Gear Solid: Trilogy seems even more likely, but this could just be a coincidence.

would love either a remake of MGS or MGS4 for xbox 360, loved MGS on the PSX, but haven't played the series since MGS2 (Which was subpar)

KP are doing a multiplatform game last time i heard and Kojima was asking questions about FPS controls to Valve, I.D. etc when doing his promo rounds. So could it be a Multiplatorm MGS game based in first person ? Maybe.
It does not look like its anything to do with MGS4 though, more like metal gear Acid coming to the iPhone/DSi or Wii seems more likely than anything TBH.

i think the iphone touch things are a bit more plausible. the i and the ! for acid. The only thing which really points to the xbox would be the colour. But then its not even the correct shade of green for the 360. Which i would imagine if that was your intent you would get the right colour. the colour does seem more acidy to me

Gamecube remake is a joke. Most of MGS1 has already been built in MGS4. It only makes sense to just touch that level up abit and add a story.

I've played all the mgs series, even the old ones, but mgs1 is by far my fave and i'd love a next gen update. The remake was good but a next gen remake would be amazing, wouldn't mind octocamo also
