lmao, 4 games, you dont get that for breaking someones leg on the pitch.

I bet Chelsea start to employ grounds people to wind up players so this happens again :D

lol, what an absolute joke.

One team loses their first choice left back for four games, the other gets a fine.

I don't see how the punishments are even close to fair.

What makes you think the Chelsea team should be punished in any way for what happened?

well putting a 4 match ban on the groundsman doesn't really do much as he doesn't actually play for chelsea.

To be fair, he was being an idiot. The penalty area is off limits for cooling down training at every damn club in the country to try to keep the most used bits of the pitch as healthy as possible. Sounded like Man U were being childish as hell and insisting on running on it, were asked multiple times not to and ignored. Now on the part of the Chelsea groundskeeping staff, this is their job, other clubs go to Man U , cool down and don't run on that area, its a known thing, they are screwing up his job. He's not paid 80k a week, he's a gardener whose sole job it is to keep the pitch in good condition. 4 matches sounds a touch OTT, but while a broken leg(not on purpose) is part and parcel of the risk you take playing, this wasn't an adrenaline pumped Evra during a game , he was just being a ****.

I don't think anyones suggesting that, just that its rather harsh that, if you forget Evra himself for a moment, Manchester United lose a key player for 4 games, which could be a major factor in a whole season of football, whereas Chelsea get what? A £25,000 fine? That'll really upset them.

By the sounds of it, both were as guilty as each other, yet because he's a player, Evra gets a strong punishment and Bethell gets nothing. I can't see Chelsea docking his wages £25,000.

The FA are a complete joke. Hope United pull out of the world club championship in protest. Somehow, I think if Evra played for any other club he'd get 1-2 matches tops. And even that would be harsh!
