Why do women fail at parking?

Boredom is the reason surely, they try the once, fail, lose interest and just give up.

now if i had a pound for every task started and then given up by my wife i would be rich. I look at her and ask what she is doing - she tells me and then i offer to help, but no she can do it herself! 5 monutes later she is huffing and puffing and getting really ****** off and storms of, usualy for another tool or something and when she comes back im usually jsut completing the job.

i cringe if she says she is gonig to attmept something whilst i am at work as i know its not gonig to be finished by the time i get home. EVen something like painting is difficult for her. She take all day (which i think is a lie) then its patchy - i come home look at it and say it cant stay like that and i have to go over everything and a room takes me an hour to do. it takes her 4/5 times the time.

All this is true. My missus has scuffed my alloys so many times trying to park. Its even worse when she is picking me up and I'm watching her. She pulled up perfectly alongside a kerb to pick me up, saw me then turned into the curb. I mean WTH!!!

Then at home, she can't reverse park at all. She is either on the curb with both wheels, one wheel, or needs a taxi to get from where she abandons it to the side of the road!

I've resorted to parking mine on the road so she can have the driveway. Keeps here out of mischief

She'd probably argue that if she wasn't the one who remembered where the keys were in the first place, you wouldn't have been able to go anywhere in the first place

Have any of you ever known a woman who wasn't able to squeeze you physically into a part of the bed which is far smaller than your actual body size would indicate? Thought not! There's a joke that the OCUK rules prevent me from posting, which sums up your point in a better way.

The female brain and its reduced capacity for tasks involving spatial awareness is pretty well known though. As hard as it is to believe, men and women are not built in the same way. Women excel at certain tasks that men fail spectacularly at.
It's just another case of swings and roundabouts, nothing more.

Pretty close, but nicely summed up.
Depending on how much testosterone you're exposed to while in the womb (as this is the only time women can generate Testosterone), you end up with a male or female brain regardless of your particular gender.
There are a few accurate ways to test which "brain" you have.

That's just a bonus surely, it should never be the aim of your parking. How on Earth did she pass her driving test if she can't reverse?

It's odd, I was wondering about this the other day. I know an awful lot of girls who not only have trouble parking but seem to think that actually having an accident is only to be expected and usually with the justification of "I was only going slowly at the time" - how does this possibly make it better?

There are a few accurate ways to test which "brain" you have.

LOL, no.
One of the more accurate tests involves you subject donning a pair of headphones. Two similar sounding words are played simultaneously, one in the left ear, one in the right. Words such as "hat" and "rat", for example.
If you have a male brain you will only hear the word played to your right ear, as men only use the left side of the brain to process speech whereas women use both. The brain is cross wired, so you're left side picks up the sound from your right ear, etc.
This test is part of a batch and not one that stands alone as definitive proof, although those that only hear one word are almost 100% proven later to have a male brain.

She does now have to reverse to park in her parking space at my house, and basically she does not park, i prefer to call it "abandoning" her vehicle. I could start a thread with her daily parking, it would entertain you lot for a few days!!
