Your plasma panel probably has HDMI and maybe a VGA input. Depending on your graphics card, you can get a DVI-HDMI cable or VGA. The first being better quality and sometimes better resolution.
Some cards can do audio through HDMI but you will probably also need to sort out the sound. i.e. 3.5mm stereo jack m-m cable or similar depending on your tv.
Then you most likely need a HDMI-DVI cable and depending on the gfx a cable for audio too.
Do you have the manual for the screen? that will usually show all the connections. They're available online through the manufacturers website a lot of the time.
Connect video via VGA. Connect audio my standard 3.5mm jack if your TV has an audio jack in. If not then you might have to get a converter from 3.5mm to 2xRCA.
You can make one if you know what you're doing but you'd be better off buying one. I made one last year and used it for a couple of weeks until I could find a real one.
Boot the PC with it's normal monitor.
Set resolution to 640x480 @ 60Hz
Turn computer off.
Plug VGA into Plasma.
Turn on computer.
Ensure tv is on the VGA channel.
Should work, then see what resolutions are available in windows.
