One for the Lotus fans.

I know what you mean. It's a car I should really like but it simply leaves me looking at it and wondering why i don't want to go out and buy one. Massively capable but it simply doesn't get me that excited. All very odd really.
 
Very interesting, thanks. I agree about the 2-Eleven, doesn't excite me that much. I imagine I'd change my mind if I got to drive one :D

The history part was fascinating too, 588 men lost by that one bomber group is staggering..
 
The lack of roof means its not really a road car for over here in the UK, certainly isn't a realistic/viable car for me any time soon, just a track day toy.
 
Why do all Lotus cars begin with E?

Nowadays it's purely for historical reasons, no-one really knows the original reason (if there was one) as far as I know.

What they say about the track still isn't far off the truth though, there are some points where you can stand against a knee height bit of armco with cars going past just the other side, always good fun when Classic bring the toys over for a run.
