Was chatting to a mate in the pub last night about science fiction books. In particular, about a series of books I read at school (late eighties) about the last survivor of a warrior race, looking for revenge on those who've killed his entire people/planet. I can remember him being helped by a telepathic flying alien; and his chief foe was this golden cyborg. Anyway, neither us of could remember what it was called, or who wrote it. Anyone got any ideas? And I'm pretty sure the author is British, because I can remember him coming into school to do a talk.

Douglas Hill - Last Legionary. Canadian but moved to Britain later on.
