I laughed so much i almost crashed!

Not being dangerous at all but I was pulled by an STi a couple of years back on the toll road though only for a 'chat'.

I've seen undercover Evo and STi cop cars pull over dangerous drivers.

Yes.. and quite common. They have certain characteristics that makes them a good police car.

However a seven series has none, except possibly diplomatic protection/VIP policing, but even then.

Saw a car get overtaken by a 7 series grey (silver??) BMW and the sign came on behind it, not sure what he was getting pulled for. Happened on the A406 this morning not far from Barking.

speed limit is 40 down there, but everyone does 70 and slams there anchers on at the cameras.... probably why?

(to non 406 users, it is a 3 lane dual carrageway with 30-40mph speed limits....... )

This is why I wish I had a camera recording my drive all the time. You never know when comedy gold like that will appear.

Any suggestions? I saw a cheap device that takes SD card but it appear to take about 1frame per couple of secs so not enough for video. Does anyone else do this?

I doubt very much the police drive 7 series justintime.

If they did for certain roles then they certainly wouldnt waste it on trivial matters like pulling people over.

Well it was?!! Not the first one i've seen either. Have seen em in old banged up Astras, Golfs, 5 series, imprezas, Focuses, a brand spaking new mercedes with 08 plates at the time etc..

was a 50mph area, could've been observing from lower speed areas and he was doing about 60mph but so was just about everyone else, i was doing about 55-56mph on the needle.

I don't see why they wouldn't. If they are running unmarked why only use volvos, imprezas and evos, everybody knows they use those cars so why not use 'normal' cars. :)

I saw an unmarked car screaming round London last weekend, and it was a Punto. :/

Friday morning, 06:10 M6 southbound......

Minding my own business as usual, middle lane, cruise control at 70mph, i'm in no rush to get to work..... you get the picture.

Along comes a Range Rover in the outside lane and hurtles past me, only to be slowed down by traffic about 1/4 mile ahead of me.

I can see he's inches away from the car in front and flashing his lights trying to get past (now i hate this as there was no ware for the car in front to go as it was heavy traffic)

This continues for about a mile by which point i'm along side.

as i reach the Range Rover, the car in front of it erupts into flashing blue lights with a sign on the back that says POLICE FOLLOW ME!

Now i almost crashed into the truck on my inside as i was crying with laughter.... made my day

just thought i'd share

Why were you in the middle lane? Something wrong with Lane 1?

have you traveled the M6 southbound from stoke to birmingham recently?

even at 06:00 in the morning it's full especially with trucks in the inside lane. if you want to make progress the middle lane is the only option! had there have been a suitable gap in the inside lane i would have filled it as i am not a moron!

Yet you posted about how you nearly crashed into a truck because of your lack of attention to the road?
