Did you read what the OP said about the number of lorries?

If the lane is mostly full, what is the point in pulling in and out constantly when he can sit in the middle lane overtaking them up to a point where there is a big gap to pull in to.

Car PC, cheap webcam and a piece of software I found on mp3car.com specifically for this purpose, basically it records 1-minute long AVI files using whatever codec you choose (I use huffyuv to save CPU time) and deletes them once they're 5 minutes or so old. a single button has it move the current crop of AVIs to a safe place then when you get home you can string them together and re-encode using VirtualDub or Windows Movie Maker or whatever.

Sadly I don't have the PC installed in the Volvo as it's worth 5 times what the car is so didn't get to record a recent exchange that I witnessed, M5 northbound about 9PM somewhere around Worcester. I'm in the outside lane doing 75 overtaking this other, much newer Volvo that's doing 70 in the middle lane. A Civic pulls out from the inside lane about half a car length in front of the Volvo to my left, and then the following exchange happens..

- Volvo flashes lights at Civic
- Civic responds by turning on rear foglights
- Volvo responds with flashing blue lights
- Civic moves back into inside lane

generally the A406 lane 1 is "local traffic" and always turning on or off the A406.

Also he said there was a lorry there.


Im one of these people that hates "middlelanemorons.com" but you cant drive in lane 1 when its full of other cars! :p

Cheap digital camera - just check it's max recording length is long enough at the desired resolution. (There's an EU law that classifies a device as a camcorder if it records at a certain resolution for a certain time and camcorders have more customs taxes than digital cameras.)
A couple of memory cards.
A window suction mount, or a bean bag mount.
 
once there was a huge amount of traffic and a car wanted to turn left but the turning was up ahead and there was only 1 lane. I am a cyclist so i was cycling down the road when he pulled out, shot down the wrong lane and into the turning. About 2 cars behind him a traffic cop then put on his lights, I stopped to let him out and he followed the car down the road.

I had a good old laugh on my way home :)

Not sure I see too much wrong with this. Certainly not if the turning was right.

I didn't say I obtained it all from the OP, although he is perhaps one of the middle lane hogs I dislike looking at his own comments.

There are three ******* lanes, so use them, don't just sit in the middle lane because it's easy.

If he had the sense to post that information in his OP then I wouldn't have got on my high horse. Also the lorry was there after a mile not at the start.

The only person the OP would need to state that for would be you and I suggest that you don't cross his mind each time he makes a post, which you might find hard to accept so sorry for being the barer of such insight. I am sure from now on however he will of course consider you and post in the appropriate manner...
 
Best ive ever seen was while at work. Middle aged chap came up the road on a quad bike followed by a Honda Civic. Nothing unusal there you might think. Well he decided to pull a wheelie and was promptly pulled by what turned out to be an unmarked Civic :D
Had to laugh tonight also, its not police related but we have a group of idiots who come round nightly on there mopeds generally pratting about (riding on paths etc). Its abit icy out tonight, heard the ped come up the road followed by a crunch as he didnt slow for a bend in the road and fell off.
