some may be wondering ' why do we care?'

fact is i promised updates on my progress and this is first one in around a week.

accident happened 9/6/2008
left hospital 17/11/2008

1. i've been bored.
2. 3 yr olds are crap for conversation.
3. i've done 10 miles on exercise bike twice.
4. i've started up my cbr for first time since accident twice!
5. i went to the NEC for the motorbike show on 6/12/2008 :)
6. i've found new tyres, 4 sets of leathers, 2 helmets, 2 pairs of gloves and bits for suzukis, etc basically stuff i no longer own lol.
7. i've not had any down days and i can sleep fine despite the recent outbreak of fever (which resulted in me not sleeping for 3 days!)

so overall, it's been good :)

great stuff man. are you going to physio? how long before you can ride a bike again ect

i've done physio at home every day bar one. :) takes me around an hour, plus i go on exercise bike for an hour to do 10 miles to help my knee.

i'm hoping i'll have a trackday this year. i'm also hoping to race this year!

Good to hear :)

It did worry me a wee bit when you started a thread asking 'why you were still here' , but I've not been what you've been through so I shouldn't comment.

Keep us up to date!

that was a weak point which although i noted everyones words of advise WILL not happen again.

i won't let myself become so weak!

get well soon mate, but how about a single update thread (kinda like skywalkers?) :]

are you still taking pain killers?

couldn't sleep a wink when i was on pain killers

glad to see you're on the mend

not taking pain killers as unless i'm in extreme pain - i don't want to.

according to the nurses i should be on them 4x a day but because i'm not i must have an unusually high pain threshold. i dunno...

Good news.. So it hasn't put you of ridding then.

as i've said on radio and to my sponsors - i'll do a trackday and hopefully race!!!

my goal all along has been to ride a bike but also when i have kids to be able to play with them like a father should.

those 2 goals have been re-iterated every time the doctors asked me and haven't changed in last 6 months!!

depends what people want and whats easiest. for me this is easiest but i don't mind merging them if people wish.

remember mind, if you've got damaged muscle / tissue, if you tense up (tense up in slight pain) it can cause more damage than it being relaxed, so recovery is longer

i'm recovering from a knee operation at the moment and my consultant advised me to get an exercise bike but i can't bend my knees enough to even use it

do you have a gym ball?. thats the only thing i can use at the moment and it's really good. I am slowly increasing joint movement with it

no, although have used one. my flexibility is sufficient that i'd not need one!:)
