Top Clown returns Sunday 2nd November 2008 **SPOILERS**

Thought Boris was amusing too.

Now, I dont live in the UK but follow the news enough to know a little big about the guy, seems slightly different to your typical polititian :)

Good epiosode, Caterham looked fab round the track :)

Really didn't know what to make of last nights episode, seemed quiet boring.

I enjoyed the Fiesta road test in the shopping centre, but part of me couldn't help think it was immature and a silly thing to do.

1p per mile for an electric car? Cobblers, unless it's a mobility scooter limited to 4mph with a cheap old battery. For a proper electric car, once you take battery replacement costs and tax into account, it's more expensive to run than a Lotus Elise.

tax is Zero..

And as for batterys it depends how many years they last and how much the cars worth. But yes 1p a mile is just for the electric.

If the government wanted to reduce pollution and traffic. They would allow and license things like segways. For people who work only a few miles away from home. They are perfect. Especially if mass produced and the cost fell below 1k. Put zero tax on and insurance would be cheap.

I'm not sure how many times I've watched that lap by the Caterham but it is probably the most impressive lap I've seen yet. Just fabulous.

forgot about this last nite, just watched it on the iplayer, the comunist bit which took up most of the show was boring but they made up for it with the fiesta review.

In the shopping centre they really needed 'can't turn you loose' as the music like in the blues brothers :p

Not to mention the fact that the electricity you put into the car is made by burning coal.

By the time electric cars are made as safe as petrol cars they will weigh too much, use too much power and have a top speed of 10mph.

Electric cars =! the future

I thought the communist car feature was brilliant, rather original, especially with the old broadcast filter editing! It's typical Top Gear sillyness, which unless you've been living under a rock for the past 6 years is what makes the show great to watch.

I don't understand the people who write in always asking for proper car reviews - they're not on TG every week but if you want serious, sensible reviews of affordable cars every week there's always Fifth Gear...

Great episode!

Had pretty much everything we've come to expect of TG. Even had a pretty interesting star in the RPC.
