Theres a new Tomb Raider game coming out but no one seems to care

I just got TR Underworld for the wife as she loves the TR games.
On the previous one she was stuck for nearly a day trying to defeat those two horse/centurions, but managed it in the end.

I have played this a bit more this weekend and I am really enjoying it now. If you look past the occasional parts where you get stuck, or the camera plays about, and perhaps even the dodgy combat (imo) it really is fantastic.

It looks great, I like the puzzles, they are tricky but not too complex. I also like the amount of exploration vs combat. I loved uUncharted, but having played this I do now feel there was too much emphasis on combat in Uncharted.

Finished it last night myself, i thought it was great, first tomb raider ive finished/enjoyed since TR3, decent story, great puzzles, easy batch of points. I got about 665 for finishing it, for any gamerscore whores, set it to hard, i didnt and lost out 100 points, theres really not that many enemies that would make it much harder.

Its gorgous too, some of the locations are pretty jaw dropping.

How did you find the story having not played Legend? When I played through it seemed that there was a lot of stuff in the story that would have not made sense.

I've got a mate looking to play it, that also hasn't played Legend/Anniversary.

Bugger, I started on medium. What extra achievements do you get for playing on hard?

What if I switch level now (only on the Thailand levels, but cannot be bothered to start again)

Don't think you'd get it. :(

Also I've a feeling there's more than just enemy difficulty with the skill level. Stuff like amount of time to grab a ledge (with Y) is all effected by it as well.

I'm getting this for xmas. Looking forward to playing it.

I played through Legend and Anniversary on hard and neither was very difficult. Achievement whoring F T W

I've got this sitting on the shelf. I will start if when i'm next off work. Loved TRL, not sure if I will bother with the collectables though.

I found quite a few of them along the way. Most are simply hidden in pots which are quite obvious to spot. Of course there are some much harder ones to find. I never really bother with stuff like that in any game though.

As said you'll struggle to miss them. :p

I never go out of my way to find collectables first time through on games like this. If I see one I'll pick it up though.

I managed to find 115 first time through though.

Really enjoying this, legends is the only TR I've ever played but this plays nicely as well. Puzzles are a bit much for me, I have to look them up as I've been stuck more than once.

Can't really be bothered with the collectables and the swan dive achievement has glitched on me but that's not really bothering me.

Hoping for a little more gun combat in the levels to come. Only on thailand and probably near the end of that. Only really had one battle so far.

Im also really liking this game, i havent really played much TR apart from a little TR2 years ago. Its only let down by a few minor issues, such as the mediocre combat(which there isnt much of luckily), lara can sometimes feel a little clumsy and the camera which goes nuts every so often.

The visuals and sound are excellent, which makes exploring a pleasure in itself, and the puzzles are tricky but not insane. I must admit im not used to playing a game like this with out some sort of GPS to tell me where im meant to be heading :) but its refreshing in a way as it really makes you think and look.
