sure accidents have a cause and it was avoidable.....thats why he is serving 8 years.
im not making excuses for the guy but some seem to think the sentence is leniant.
some would say an eye for an eye but this is the british justice system and for him to get 8 years is pretty good.

what sentence do drunk drivers normally get if they cause a fatal crash ?
im not really sure but i would have thought 8 years was more on the high side.
He got into a car whilst under the influence of alcohol, drove twice the speed limit and crashed into another car killing TWO people, 8 years is no where near justice..
EDIT: Oh and performed a secual act on himself.. Scruff..

four and a half years he got....im not saying 8 years is harsh but taking into consideration this is british justice...i think its ok

I think the sentence of 8 years is too lenient, if the people that were killed were my family then i'd be outraged, because of his reckless actions he has forever affected a whole family's life. Although yes he has to live with that for the rest of his life I still believe he has to be put away for much longer than 8 years.
Are you kidding? The cretin was doing 120 and whacking one out when he killed two innocent people. If they were your Father and Brother, would you still be saying that 8 years "isn't bad"?
no i wouldnt but thats because i disagree with the british justice system concerning incidents like this and violent crimes.
in a whole its far too leniant....the point i was trying to make is that the sentence isnt bad considering how leniant the system is.
admittedly my first post alone wasnt clear about what i meant.
