update on me.

Glad to see you're recovering well :)
I haven't followed the whole story but could you fill me in with the memory loss? How much, is it getting better etc?

initially it was 6 months min with some bits being covering my entire life, gf's for example i can't remember! i can't even remember the motorbike i had the accident on. no recollection of buying it, riding it etc!

it is getting more enlightened and i've been told the 6 months might come back tomorrow or in 10 years or never!

just been told to prepare myself for it never coming back.

I guess one good thing is that you now have 6 months worth of DVDs and music to watch/listen to again. :D

A friend of mine fell off a bike and suffered from very bad amnesia after an extremely nasty head injury. He's completely recovered now. :)

Glad to hear you're recovering,

After my accident I had a few hours of lost memory (about 10 minutes before the accident to ~4 hours after), obviously not on the scale of yours, but that hasn't come back, but then with the main bits being a motorbike accident and pain I'm not sure I want it to :p

Hope yours does though, must be more than a little weird not remembering such a large period of time...

I feel awful for you :(
Hopefully things will come back, and as said - you get to watch/listen DVDs/CDs that you may have previously had!

one other thing i forgot to mention, i was tday x-rayed and then shown them.

my left thigh is non-existent except for a big titanium rod!!!!
my left elbow looks like a meccano set!!! if you can imagine about 2inches either side is all metal!!!

i've got metal work holding my left lower leg and lower left arm together!!

all i got told by the doctors is several 1000's of pounds of metal hold me together!!!!

i'm normally quite quiet and reserved but it freaked the hell out of me!!!!
