I'm drinking.....Балтика № 3.....it is absolutely gorgeous!

I thought that too when I could drink beer, 3 and 7 are pretty good imho.

i'm not sure if you have ever had ethanol, but don't it bloody hurts lol, and tasted foul. Lol i used to love tossing around in science lessons

WEll consider I used to do chemistry uni labs yeah, I've often had pure ethenol, try mixing it with ether and it burns so bad. Seriously does the trick though.

Flat mate brought some of each back to day from labs 99.99% pure on both.

1, The wood test. Our tables were wood, so we put a bit on to it. If nothing happened then onto the next test, if something did happen, fizzing etc, then we didn't consume any.
2, The Paper test. Put a bit on paper, if it changed colour it probably wasn't safe.
3, Water test. If it didn't fizz then obviously saliva wouldn't affect it.
4, Finger test. Put a bit on your finger, if there was no pain, then you were finnally aloud to eat a bit.

Then the real fun part, was after consuming you go an look at the haz card to see if you should have eaten it lol. H&S would have had a fit if they knew some of the stuff we drank

Well I just checked the bottle "analytical reagent grade ether, yep, analytical (basically 99.999%) reagent grade ethanol, yep, righto bit of cancer risk but both perfectly safe

and your tests are flawed you should have used the inside of your wrist not your finger, and the inside of your lower lip before consumption

damn noobs.

Of course redeaing your history and chemistry text books is far easier.

I thought cognac had to be produced in Cognac?

Me and a friend once ate Magnesium strips in science to see if they would react with our stomach acid, also drunk a little copper2 sulphate? the blue one with all sorts in for a bet.

Ah to be young and foolish again.

It kind of reminds me of the time I tried to syphon petrol from my car to put into the lawnmower. I didn't realise there is a screen in the tube to prevent that kind of thing, so I ended up sucking in a lungful of fumes. The effect was... interesting.
