Evening.

dmpoole was concerned about where I've been for the last few months so, being the self-absorbed individual I am, I thought I'd tell you.

If you don't care, please make an irrelevant post letting everyone know.

The reason I've not been around is that I started a new job that basically consumed my life. I'd get back in the evening and the last thing I'd want to see is a computer so forums have been off the cards. Still been twittering, but that's quite low maintenance!

So, roll on to just over a month ago and I've asked my girlfriend to marry me. Luckily, she said yes and 4 short weeks later we were married. Double-luckily, 1 day after we booked the wedding I was made redundant and have decided to go it alone. I just incorporated my own company and am working on freelance web development projects. It's quite fun. Been a bit of an all-change as well! I'm enjoying work loads more, and have way more free time to myself so you can expect to see me around a bit more, helping where I can.

How have you all been?

Nice to see you're enjoying self-employment, it's what i hope to do after i finish my electrician's course as i like the idea of handling the job's i do (as well as sub contracting).

Are you finding it easy to manage doing bills/tax/financials? (never done anything financially)

Thats some major changes. Glad to hear they are working out. I've just avoided the initial cull where I just got my job so feeling very fortunate but wary of the future.

I hope the freelancing works out for you, I'm sure with your capabilities it will do so wonderfully.

I'm working at a Hi-Fi chain (probably a competitor, so I won't mention names), it's not bad for something to help pay for Uni :)

yeah, well I get an extra 2 hours a day because the commute is about 10 metres, and my day rate is based on an 8 hour day, so I only do overtime to meet deadlines ;)
