Hey guys, thinking about gettign fall out 3.

I read on bit-tech that its been clearly designed for consol in mind and as a result the menus are well, what youd expect from a port. But i know mods will fix this and probably have by now for the pc.

Question is, should i get it on the pc for mods and that or on the xbox on the big screen for immersion?

I know this is the pc section but i highly doubt that people come on here just with consoles anyway.

Personally on the PC to me, it feels more like an FPS. Sounds strange but yeah. I have both the PC and 360 version, I prefer the PC version just as I prefer Oblivion on the PC.

For me really comes down to:

Console: High def and controller
PC: Customization, keyboard + mouse.

Well with the 360 their are 3 episodes coming out in January i think and would hazard a guess that they'd be on the PC not long after (for free most likely).

The main question is do you prefer playing RPG's with a mouse and keyboard or do you prefer playing them with a control pad?

I prefer the 360 version more as i can play RPG's a lot longer with a controller than i can with a keyboard/mouse but it's all down to personal preference.

No doubt the PC version looks spectacular but I'm a 360 convert so that's my 2 cents :).

The game is essentially the same on both platforms, but it will look a lot better on PC. (Provided you have a decent system)

PC, if you have a decent spec the game will look great.

It was the 1st multi platform game in a long time that I felt played well on the pc and just didn’t have the port and hope mentality of most multi platform releases.

tbh - it didn't feel like much of a port to me... Also, on the PC you will be getting all 3 expansions + mods from the community (SDK due for release this month).

PC all the way.

Best graphics & FPS by a long way, almost zero loading times and just hook your PC up to your HDTV with a cheap DVI to HDMI cable or just use a VGA cable. You can also use your 360 gamepad on the PC if its wired it will just plug in and work. If its wireless you need to buy a wireless gaming receiver (around £12 online) then I think all 360 wireless controllers (including steering wheels and headsets etc etc) work on the PC as they sync up to the wireless gaming receiver (but can also be re-synced back to the 360 if you use them on that again)!!

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...s Controller (XP/Vista Compatible) (JR9-00002)

You can also buy this receiver on its own without a gamepad.

PC for sure.

Better gfx, controls......poo on consoles. crap graphics, limited AA, not graphically customizable.

For me really comes down to:

Console: High def and controller
PC: Customization, keyboard + mouse.

You mean

Console: ????
PC: Customization, keyboard + mouse or controller and HIGHER RESOLUTION graphics (in most cases if you have a decent monitor.. 17" +?

I do hate this the "HD Generation", it's the way it's being promoted, fooling people into believing "HD" is one set resolution like PC's haven't been "High
Res" for ages.

also I don't get why people think big screen = console.
Nobody heard about DVI>DVI/HDMI?... :)

But yeah, i'd say PC!

I would get the PC version if you're rig is up to it; it will look better and if Oblivion is anything to go by, there will be an absolute shed-load of community mods in the months to come :)

PC is better, a lot easier to aim with the mouse :-)

Plus you have to look around thoroughly for books and stuff and its fiddly with sticks.

+1 more for the pc, just doesn't feel right using a controller to play a fps (yes yes know its a rpg but controls and view is like an fps) game, well for me anyways :P plus I think the pc version is cheaper ;)

Well I've completed it on the 360, but when I was halfway through the game I always thought about stopping and playing it on the pc because as said before most of the combat is fps and aiming with a controller just ain't my thing.

Then other points been made it will look much better depending on your rig and the sdk will be out soon.

I have PC, but combat is crap on PC (tries to be like KOTOR but is not), may actually be better on console. Anyway stopped playing as combat is rubbish.
