Managed to get food poisining on Sat so couldn't really enjoy all the goodness

And it's a right pain.
On tuesday one of my students called with some forms and I didn't recognise her.
For the first time she was out of her head scarf and she was in traditional dress with her hair nearly down to her bum, makeup, bangles and she looked absolutely stunning.
I asked her why and she said 'Eid'.
After she'd gone I did a double-take and realised she should have been at a placement, so I rang the placement up and she hadn't been in.
I then rang her school to be informed that no Muslim kids were in because it was Eid and it causes so much trouble because not only do they have British kids holidays but they also decide to have their own as well.
Little buggers.
