oopsy Revolution :D

Any particular reason for holding off for this PSU?

tbh, just looked good :D No i mean it seems to be jammed packed full of wizardy, ticks all the boxes I need, Only other consideration would be HX1000W but i deffo want to get another x2 sometime, so with the i7 and loadsa ram... I want to be safe. Enermax always have served me well. Not sure my noisetaker 620, will be man enough :D

I'd imagine this would be a good unit. I read a good review.

Looking at the cost in dollars it seems it wouldquite a bit more expensive than the Corsair - when it eventually gets here.

I might be tempted to go ahead and get the Corsair if i were you.

I heard Enermax were closing there offices over here, i don't know how that would affect potential RMA's?

any idea why there are only two enermax for sale on ocuk now? When the revolution out
Probally because they wont stock them anymore due to the fact one of the biggest competitor's is handling RMA's themselves for Enermax but only those sold by that competitor themselves.

This is pure speculation of course, but I bet I'm right! lol :p

If they are as good as the excellent Modu/Pro 82+ psu's then these will be very good. The Modu/Pro's have efficiency up to 90% at 50% load.

I agree with Nelly about why OCUK don't stock these excellent psu's.

I wonder why Enermax have reduced the Warranty from 3 years to 2 years for the new Revolution series of PSU's?

Not very reassuring.

Well I think Enermax are about the most prolific when it comes to releasing new models so perhaps they want to encourage us towards constantly upgrading our PSUs to whatever is their latest and greatest release, instead of picking one and sticking with it for as long as possible.

Enermax are high end, a class above Antec and Corsair etc who do not even make PSU's.

They are British and RMA is in UK not .NL or other.

You get what you pay for, the Infiniti 720 Watt is by far the best PSU I have ever owned..

First time I used OcUK back in 2001, My first rig I built using XP1700, Abit NF7-S, along with a 350W Enermax PSU, lasted 3 years then gave up, was quite happy with it really.

I'm not sure which PSU to go for, going to try one of the following Enermax PSU's.

1) 625W Enermax MODU82+ EMD625AWT Modular Quad PCI-E Rail, ATX12v 2.3 , 88% Eff, AirGuard, SafeGuard

or

2) 720W Enermax Infinity EIN720AWT Modular Quad SLi Quad Core Xfire EPS12v CoolGuard 80%+ Eff'

After reading a load of reviews on them, i would go with the Modu 625w. These things are setting new standards when it comes to efficiency.

Yes the Infiniti 720watt come out tops in many reviews apart from efficiency, seems Enermax told a fib or 2 as its not as efficient as they claim, either way I don't care I ain't that green.

It not that new now TBH.

When you say British, are you talking about the company?

Enermax's HQ is based in Taiwan according to wikipedia. With regards to their UK RMA's...

Enermax closes UK operation

Third parties to offer technical product support as Enermax pulls the plug on its UK subsidiary Coolergiant.

Following last month's rumours that high-end PSU manufacturer Enermax that was pulling out of the UK, the company has now revealed the details of its plans for the UK Market. In a statement, Enermax confirmed that it will indeed ‘stop its UK subsidiary operation,’ saying that ‘now it is time for Enermax to be much more competitive.’

However, the company is keen to stress that it will still have a presence in the UK via third parties, and that warranties will still be honoured remotely. Enermax says that it will still continue to ship products to leading UK retailers, including ****, Overclockers, **** and ******, while (competitor) and (competitor) will also provide product and customer support.

Enermax claims that **** and *** will provide a ‘professional logistics operation and technical support,’ meaning that ‘customers in UK will be able to get their goods delivery timely and have a worry-free user experience.’ *** will also assist UK Enermax customers when it comes to services offered under global warranty terms and conditions.

Enermax hopes that the costs saved by closing its UK operation (Coolergiant Ltd), which was established five years ago in Milton Keynes, will lead to a further expansion of the company’s product range. The company plans to launch its new Revolution85+ PSUs this month, which promise up to 91 per cent efficiency, as well as a new series of 80Plus certified PSUs by the end of 2008.

Well contrary to that news item it would appear that the two official RMA partners are also going to be the sole stockists of Enermax PSUs in the UK since everywhere else I check is letting their stocks dwindle to nothing before de-listing them. Shame. :(
