Why I hate vista...

So today I decided to bother to begin investigating why I got random resets and a BSOD a few times a day now!!!

This explains it all really..

I then clicked the link to download SP1 and it brings up yet another error..

I haven't liked vista since day one.

He is saying ( i assume ) that if microsoft cant even link to their own service pack properly then that speaks wonders for thier software.


Personally ive had zero problems from vista business 64, apart from IE crashing now and again thanks to the dodgy flash10 install.

And it turned my CV into a freaky .docx file which I can't open anywhere.

Its sorted now though thank goodness.

Lookswise... initially didn't like it as reminded me of Mac OS.

That'd be Office 2007 miss, not Vista

Windows Update is built in to Vista.... And why not just use IE for updates, like what I do (FF3 and Chrome for everything else)?

No. Docx is a word 2007 document. It has nothing to do with vista at all.

Deleting the x won't work as the file formats are completely different.

Do a search for system32, then delete that folder. You should be up and running after that, it's a common problem with Vista.

No. Docx is a word 2007 document. It has nothing to do with vista at all.

Open them in word 2007 and resave as word 97-2003 flavour.
