CLUB 3D 4870 OVERCLOCKED VS PALIT GTX216 216SP

what about with the new ATI drivers tho? from the release notes it seems they boost performance quite a bit, maybe a 4870 would overtake a 260 gtx 216:confused: does anyone here have a 4870 and a 260 to do a bit of testing?

i have 4870, driver 8.12 really better than 8.11. but still not good enought to play crysis on maximum.

witj palit gtx 260 216sp i can play crysis on maximum... i have bouth cards!

one i will leave for myself...

your 4870 is very likely the 512MB version.

yes, i have 512mb 4870 cluib 3d O/C edition!

today i've got Palit Gtx260 216sp ...

now want to deside which to leave, which not!

in Crysis everything on Max 260 wins

This is exactly my problem is deciding between GTX 260 216 and 4870 1GB :)

But i've decided getting 4870 1gb as i can get it for less than £200 :D

this palit GTX260 216SP got for £*** with sale!

i bet i will keep it,.. but i can not say that i could see big difference between 4870 and 260, only crysis and it overclock better!

Yeah theres no significant difference performance wise in most cases - its just fringe cases where one outperforms the other by a decent margin so unless you happen to play one of those games i.e. dead space for nvidia and GRID for ATI then theres not really much in it.

Personally I prefer the 260GTX tho.
