I have a debranded K810i on a orange contract atm but i'm getting a iphone for christmas and was wondering if the following is possible.

Can i ask for my PAC code from orange then buy the iphone and activate it carrying my old number over. Once activated, remove sim from iphone and put it in to my k810i and use this till christmas. On christmas i will put the o2 sim back in to the iphone and sell off the k810i.

Can anyone see a flaw in my plan?

Thanks

but seriously, if you get your pac code from orange your number will transfer to o2 (once activated) and your o2 sim will become that number but any association with orange will cease. so your orange sim will be 'dead'. you'll only have one working sim card

I understand that the orange sim will be dead. I just need to know if i can use a o2 sim that's supposed to be for a iphone in a k810 for a couple of weeks because the iphone will be a gift from my GF and although she is letting me activate it before christmas she won't let me play on it and wants to wrap it up straight away! I also need to use my k810 up till then

I hope that makes sense lol

if the k810 is unlocked then yes, you can use an iPhone SIM in it
Unlocked being key - you [the OP] mention in your original post that the phone is debranded. Debranding doesn't remove the operator lock, so it could be worth double checking whether it's unlocked as well.
