Hi ive currently got a crappy tv in my room with an xbox 360 so 've decided for christmas to do up my room, and was wondering if anyone could look over a list of things ive decided to buy and make sure theres nothing on it i should avoid?

Well first of all, is there a budget? If not, knock the ram up to at least 8500, also up your PSU to at least a 650... my general rule of the thumb is anything less the 650 and your pushing it.

Other then that the system looks great : )

600 will be ok for now, but every time a new card comes out it requires more and more power and if you have more then 600w it means more power for your other parts.

8500 is faster and if you got OCZ or G-Skill (none of the value ones) they are nicely overclockable to

Whats the plan with all the monitors?

You could get a low end 4xxx series card with two outputs and then run the 4850 through the TV

game on 1 and other stuff on the others... also movie on one and other stuff on the others, two monitors is always better than 1

I'd rather have 1 with a decent resolution, besides you can always alt-tab or watch movie in a window whilst doing other stuff. With a 24" you have far more real estate to play with. Or alternatively connect your 32" tv up to your pc as well.

na i want the two monitors, so much better! if you havn't tried it you wont understand it. once youve done it once you'll never want to go back!

lol chuck, believe me most of us have tried it. And i stand with the other guy when i say go for a bigger monitor then get another monitor when you have the money.

You ain't gotta rush it, it's not a race. take your time and slowly get your system perfect, rather then get cheap stuff all at once.

you wont understand it

No I don't understand why you'd want two screens when you're playing a game - or for that matter watching a movie  You're either playing the game or watching the movie?, and besides which if you wanted to watch a movie surely you would want to watch it on your new Samsung 32" TV?

If however you were playing a flight sim on a regular basis or perhaps using the monitors for work and spanning across both of them then fair play. But seeing as you are coming from an xbox 360 I doubt you'd be wanting it too much for that.

If you want to play games on your pc and you want them to look the dogs nads, invest in a quality monitor with a decent resolution of at least 1680x1050 ie 20-22" preferably a 24" 1920x1200, or if you're feeling especially flush (I've seen your £1500 budget laptop thread;)) get yourself a nice 30" panel @ 2560x1600 along with 3 gtx280s 12gb of ram, core i7 ee cpu and an x58 m/board:p

I see perfectly why you want two monitors; I have two at home and using College PCs with single screens drives me nuts.

However, listen to the guys in this thread. Don't get two cheapy monitors. Either get a good one now and one later, or wait and buy both at once. You'll regret buying two cheapy screens.

yer your probably right... does anyone have an idea of a good monitor about
20" as i still cant get one too big so i'll still have space to put the second one afterwards

other than the screens are there any other suggestions? ill probably go for the Samsung SM-T200 20" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Rose Red and buy one for now instead is this a good move? or would you suggest an even better screen?
