I've been looking around and building my system for the new Phenom processors when they come out but I'm not sure what a good motherboard is for overclocking.

I've heard that the boards with a 750 southbridge are the best one's to go for so I've decided on this one.

Thoughts/suggestions?

The one you're looking at has integrated graphics, Nightmare.

I've been looking into them and it's between the two the above poster mentioned.

The Foxconn is too expensive.

Yeah, I have to agree about the Foxconn board. If it had been in the same £120-140 bracket I think I'd probably suggest it over anything else but as it is, ~£200 is just too expensive for it.

I've read somewhere that the mosfets on the DFI board aren't as good or well cooled as the on the Asus board but I haven't been able to confirm it anywhere.

Anyone know much about the power regulation on these AMD2+ boards? (phases, capacitors used etc.)

On intel boards they usually made a big deal about the power systems on the board but I don't see that with AMD boards.

Also does anyone know much about the Gigabyte board with the AMD 790 / SB750 on it?
I think it ends with DS4 rather than DQ6.
[edit]: GA-MA790GP-DS4H possibly, though that appears to use the 790GX rather than FX.

Dont buy any board yet, you need to find out which one gets a good bios update first. Some of the ones people are testing are having a few problems with the bios updates (as they arent ready yet).

Best to wait to see what the 1st batch of people using Phe2 use, and what they clock to.

Thats the plan, as I will hopefully be upgrading my current system.
Deneb looks like it will be a good choice especially as a triple channel i7 setup is just too expensice and the dual channel mainstream i7 isn't out till Q3/4 2009.
And of course I can use my current ram which I have 8GB of.

Though I'm sure all the 790/SB750 boards will be better than my Asus P5N-E SLI which ofcourse is blessed with the nvidia 650i chipset. :(
