Remixes than are better than the Originals.

surely that's like saying electronic based music is better than guitar music

you can't compare the two, bare in mind i haven't seen the above two videos because work blocks them.

it's easy to name a rubbish song which has been remixed well (or to an extent where it can be liked)

example, robbie williams - lovelight and then its soulwax counterpart
 
I didn't particularly mind The Killers - Mr Brightside, but the Thin White Duke Remix is excellent.

Certain trance artists can make originals sound a lot better. I enjoy Stoneface & Terminal, Thomas Datt, Robert Nickson, Daniel Kandi remixes.
 
That might be better than the Black Kids but being honest that's not any great achievement, just slightly less of a level of mediocrity.

Plumb - In My Arms (Bimbo Jones remix)
Superbass - Don't Be Silent (Dirty South remix)

That's just a couple of remixes rather than mashups as there are a few of them worth noting.

This is hardly surprising considering for almost every track released there will be 1 or more remixes. So if there are more remixes than original tracks in existance (in the trance genre) it stands to reason you'll like more remixes than originals :p

More bizarrely, some artists I only seem to like their remixes of other tracks, whilst finding their original work substandard :D
 
Fatboy Slim's remixes are often better than the original.

That 'Brimfull Of Asha' track. I think the one that's well known is a Fatboy Slim remix and loads better than the original.

Also, Groove Armada's 'I See You Baby' is a Fatboy remix that's much better than the original.
 
basically every great remix is summed up by

i dont think anything else will ever make me so happy :)

cant go wrong with a switch , soulwax or jaques lu cont remix though.
