Saw this last night, was really hoping it would be good, but unfortunately the Earth did infact stand still, but mainly because the film was so ****ing boring!!! lol

Of course: it's got Keanu Reeves in it, Hollywood's most wooden actor.

The US are either rehashing foreign films or remaking old classics like this one. They don't seem to have the ability to do anything original and good anymore.

It's not the worst film I've ever seen but that's about as positive as I'm now willing to be about it, the more I think about it the less I like it. The only way I'm likely to watch it again is on TV and even then only if there is nothing better on which is unlikely.

Whats boring about it specifically? Not a lot of action scenes, slow story, long dialogue scenes?

Loved the original actually watched again lastnight as im off to see this tomorrow with the miss's, even if its not that great she will love it as its got Keanu Reeves in it and Jennifer Connolly is a bit of alright anyway

dont go in thinking this is an improvement on the original or even comparing it to the original as you will be very disappointed. If you do go in wanting some harmless sci-fi as there's nothing else to watch then i would say give it a try. There was nothing on at our cinema except the cartoons and quantum of solace- not wanting to see them we opted for this- the missus enjoyed it and she is one helluva critic!! like i said, she thought it was neither good nor bad- just okay!
