Whats the difference between normal AA and QAA?

EDIT..

Its alright, i got an answer now. Jesus, i figured you guys knew about computers... obviously not. Surely you knew there was AA and then Quality AA... good lord.

I know what you mean.

The answer though is those people are just in dire need of some sanity hugs.

4xFSAA is perfectly fine below 1680x1050 - 2xAA is equally fine above this. You will find it hard to tell the difference between 4 and 8 in games that support AA natively.

It's been an awful day. :(

To echo what you said only difference I noticed with x8 samples was the FPS flying right down and quality staying where it was.

In left 4 dead I used to play 8x but the fps difference was zero. the textures seem sharper at 4x now so I stick with 4x :p

What a charming person. Probably should have posted this in General Hardware rather than General Discussion. This is where people hang out and post pictures of jesus rather than dicuss hardware.
