Hi Guys,

Planning to get myself some Fallout 3 action in the near future. My rig is as follows:

Vista Ultimatex64
Intel Core Quad Q6600
4 gig ram
Radeon 4850.

I am wondering what people's performance experiences have been like with a similar set up. I'm wondering if I should up my graphics power...

Cheers guys,

Neo

I have a E8400, 4GB DDR2, Radeon 4850 and Ulimate x64 and I ran it very very well, never had any problems playing at the highest settings. Although this is on my TV so my resolution si 1360 x 768.

Should have mentioned I have a 24inch monitor so I like to run at as close to 1900x1200 as possible ;)

That's basically my exact setup (see sig), 'cept I have dual 24"s and I run XP, though neither of those things should make a difference (I think). Anyway, the game ran great, and is great. A beefier graphics card will make for higher FPS no doubt, but I never noticed any lag or anything with all settings on high, even during the large setpiece battles near the game's end. I did get that outdoor mini-stutter bug, but it was infrequent, and I think is an issue with all ATI cards?

I've got an E8400 and a 4850, but I'm playing it on 1680*1050 and runs perfect at the highest settings. So for 1920*1200 you might have to turn a few things down, maybe the AA, but should still get most, if not all the other settings on high.

4850 will run fine at 1900, just dont turn AA too high, or download the high texture patch lol. Should be able to max the settings (apart from AA :p).
