Hi, I just bought 2x 'OCZ 2GB Kit (2x1GB) 240Pin PC2-6400 800MHz Dual Channel GX XTC Gold' (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-072-OC). Vista is now showing that I have 4GB of RAM installed but games are loading MUCH slower than they were before on 2GB RAM.

I was recently having problems with booting etc so a friend of mine changed some setting sin the bios to make it work. He said that most things were set to auto.

I have a Foxconn P965AA Motherboard

This is what CPU-Z shows if that helps at all:

edit:
Previous RAM was : 2x Rendition 1024MB PC5400 DDR2 667MHz Memory

Are you sure hat the vDIMM is correct?

your RAM needs to be set to 2.0v I think

You will also have to bump up the NB volts a little for all 4 sticks to work properly.

Do all your other programs work OK? If so then it seems like a problem with the game rather than your hardware.

To be honest I ahven't tried any other games with the new hardware, I just automatically assumed since it loaded much faster on XP but with only 2GB RAM there was something amiss with my setup.

In my bios, what would be the name of the setting that I would need to change to make the RAM run at 2 volts? I tried setting soemthing called DDR voltage but the comp didn't like that at all.

Maybe it's loading more into RAM which is a good thing ;)

This. It's like booting Windows Vista with 4Gb of RAM takes longer than 2Gb (confirmed by benchmarks!), but the upshot of that is once it's loaded into RAM it won't need loading again as theres plenty spare so performance in Windows increases.

As mentioned above it could be Superfetch filling your memory with rubbish, you could try disabling the Superfetch service and see if that helps.
