Hello,

After my problems updating bios in windows and killing my mobo I bought a replacement same make and model second hand advertised as good and working. But after rebuilding my rig last night and hitting the power button nothing happens, hard drive fans etc all power up light comes on mobo but it does not post, taken memory out and graphics card but no post beep. Any ideas, do you think this one may have a broken bios. Have a plan to rebulid my rig around my original mobo and just swap the bios chip from the second hand board and see what happens. Whats the best way to test if I can that this second hand board is ok.

Cheers in advance

It could be anything. People often sell faulty motherboards second hand, because it's so hard to determine what the problem is, and it can always be blamed on the buyer.

Sounds like you have not plugged in the CPU power cable.
