Ok I have an a4 padded envelope full of pennies and 10ps 20ps etc. Where is the best way to get it turned into notes or pound coins. Must be at least £40 in there.

I know most supermarkets have these money machines that will spit you out a ticket, which you can then use in store. But from what I hear you can't spend that other than in store and the change given is another store only coupon...

I want real money, and other than going to the bank and counting it out like a lemon I don't see anyway of changing it up.

Yes times are hard ;)

My local tesco has one of those money machines, it prints you out a ticket with the correct amount on, you take it to the customer service desk and they give you the cash, you don't have to spend it in store...

The only drawback is that the machine takes about 5% of whatever you put in for itself, which sucks

The same was true for a machine I used in ASDA. The "Coinstar", I believe.

I think the small amount the machine takes is worth the effort of not having to count and bag the change before taking it to the bank. Also, my simple mind was entertained by the screen that shows the number of coins being counted as you put them in. It just keep going up and up! :D

Those coinstar machines take about 7p in from every pound you put in. Not the best but I think it's worth it rather than having to bag/count 40 pounds yourself :P

send it to me and i will send you back 40 quid in notes
profit 2.80 good percentage in a crappy economy

im sure your friends would be willing to do the same just ask them if your to lazy to go the bank

Don't goto Tescos or anywhere and use them machines, they take a percentage of the money.

Go to the bank, get the lil money bags, count them all up, then take them back, and get your money.

I heard, that the Bank Of England are running low on small change, so take it there, they will be glad to change it.
Either that or any other regular bank... :p

You either have to sort them into bags (full bags) and take to the bank, or use a coinstar and redeem them at customer services for cash. But they take 7.9p per pound. But is the easiest way.

Heg. Last lot I counted got me £240 . . . I bagged it all and took it to the bank. No wa were those machines getting nearly £20 off me . .

Even better, my lass has mild OCD and cant stop counting things, so got her to help . . :D :p
