Mirrors Edge - Jumping off roof tops

Denied! This is where it becomes very annoying having an English 360 and living in the States lol!
Is it worth getting?
Cheapest I can find is 22.99?

Edit: Found it :D Hmmm might have to import some and sell on Ebay, who would have ever though importing from the UK to the States!!

True, but then I'd have 2 360's - can't really justify spending $199 for something I already have.
So far I just make my mum in England pay the shipping costs :p bless her!
Plus most of the games I have got lately have been region free.

Downloading the Mirrors Edge demo now :)

Just to let you know that the demo has now been unlocked so that you can now play the time trial mode (in case you havent played the game).

Just put any 16digit code and it should work...

Just finished this, was deffo worth £18!
Not a shot fired either :cool:

Might do it on hard now too, I'll use firearms this time round though, sod the last two chapters on hard without!
 
Just finished this for the 2nd time - missed out on the 'Test of Faith' trophy first time round when I accidentally shot someone on the 2nd to last level (doh!! - disarmed a guy and don't think I expected his friend to come round the corner and went to punch him before I'd thrown the gun away) so decided to play it again and collect the bags in the process :)

I really like the way the game encourages you not to use guns - even after getting the trophy for it I had about 4 bags to go back and get, a few guards I could've easily shot but I prefer a bit more of a tactical approach (knock them out one by one, don't always feel the need to run :)).

Pretty awesome when you can get into the flow of the game, though can be extremely frustrating at times. So much left to do, think I will try get past the time trials but the speed-runs might make me cry.

The trophies for the DLC are now viewable on the PS3 since the firmware update, dare I hope that we might be getting the content itself in the next PSN update?
 
got the full 1000 points on the 360 yesterday, and i have to say it has been difficult, the some of the time trials are ridiculous and i broke one controller during one of the speed runs, my hands still ache from me being to stubborn to give up in one sitting
 
Speed runs = AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGH!!!!

Loved the time trials, but finding the speed runs a super grind, I'll be glad to get 'Jack knife' out of the way, it's 11 mins of sheer annoyance.
Ojste, how the hell did you get them all done in such a short space of time?!?

i utterly loved this game, it was such a surprise to how to see how good it was and very refreshing to see a challenging game.

i found the speedruns much easier than time trials partly because you know some sections through time trials and because you dont have to do anything as high risk as you do in time trials... you just need to keep up a fairly decent pace.

search for the speedruns on youtube (the ones by user watuhboy were the most helpful for me) you dont have to follow the exact route but hes generally pretty fast.

jack knife is considered the hardest speedrun since its long and even on a good run it will be fairly tight... just memorise the route so you dont waste time stalling. you dont need to shoot anyone at any point and theres an exploit you can use on this level - just before you enter the sewers when you press the button and you have to wait for the door to open. you can pause the game and wait ~30 seconds then when you resume the door will open immediately, will save you around 15 seconds

Ah, well that's placated me a bit, if the rest of them are less frustrating than Jack knife, then I'll certainly persevere.

Hopefully I can get my first on on it too :)

Super game, I desperately hope it gets a sequel.
 
thanks mate and good luck :D. the rest are much easier than jack knife, the only other one that is tricky is the last one but thankfully that is pretty short.

jacknife and the final level were the toughies for me, the final level is tough cos its balls to the wall fighting in the server room and being right at the end is ripe for cockups, its even possible to mess up the heli bit too, i reccommend going over not under, its worth the effort though!
