Are you paying too much tax?

for a start they have my national insurance number wrong? does NI numbers change? What will happen if i contact them? will i get a rebate?

I'd suggest finding out which prison you're going to and getting the blueprint tattooed on to your body.

*beaten to it :(*

Yes NI numbers do change, particularly if your remuneration package at work includes benefits like a company car. If you're due a tax rebate they will often pay it back by changing your NI number. Your NI number multiplied by 10 is basically the amount of money you earn before you start paying income tax.

If you have paid too much tax in the past, then you will get a rebate. Of course, you could also be paying too little tax atm, in which case you'll have to pay the revenue some extra money. Take it from me though, it's better to be up front and honest when dealing with the revenue.

maybe you have been contributing towards someone elses pension :P but on the positive side your NI number could really be taking contributions from someone earning millions ;)

Sorry, but I don't know anyone that has had a new NI number just randomly given out - and I've never heard of it happening.

Are you sure it's a genuine letter, and are you sure it isn't you tax code that's changed.

Either way - contact their number (on the web) - and not the one listed on the letter - just in case it's a scam.

I hope this is a joke, because if it isn't you're being reckless with info related to this guys money - and could cause him no end of probs with his payments.

your new cell is with a big guy called buba and he likes to shower

I hear Buba is pretty clumsy and tends to knock the soap out of your hand quite often.

I heard he also drops the soap himself quite often, it usually goes behind him so he may have to back up while he's bending down to look for it. Make sure you're not behind him :p

I do hope that your post is just a genuine mistake, because it's drivel.
