this OP hasn't confirmed? And I posted the remote further up the page. So I win the internet. But the remotes weren't faulty? so i never posted it earlier.
 
Having examined the ebay listing, nowhere in the listing does it mention that it is an original part, nor does it mention that it is a third party replacement.

So, try your best but my instinct tells me that you are not going to win.

yes, you did, but have you actually tried to help the original poster or just go for some one-up-manship?? hmm?
 
i'm not sure what he means then it was listed as faulty but he knew how to fix it?

does this mean he was going to mod it in some way to work with a dodgy set top box.

and the one he has received can't be modded in this way!

If this is the complaint unlucky

If the item is listed as something different to what it is complain.

The OP has had all the advice he needs until he can post back what he's done / not done . We still don't know even if it was that remote, given assumtions made and the fact that the ops posts don't seem to correlate too well. I thought you had some extra info that you weren't sharing.
 
Only an idiot would buy a cable box from ebay. You do know that these folk who sell them pass the details of the buyers on to the cable companies...
 
I assure I'm not holding anything back, given the credentials of the OcUK detective squad, that'd be pointless.
And yes, I agree, this thread has run its course until the original poster steps forward and actually straightens out the story.

why would you buy one anyway? don't you get it free when you subscribe to them???

It's all about getting channels that you aren't paying for rather than buying a box for a service you are paying for.
