I'm looking to get a new aftermarket cooler for my graphics card(ATI Radeon 4870)
, It's to loud when i have to put the fan on high to keep it cool when playing games! I've had enough of the headache noise this makes so anyone got any suggestions for a new cooler for it? i've had a look at a few but can't make my mind up, Roughly £40 odd to spend on one, Anyone got any ideas?

I must admit that does look trusting, How big is it? looks pretty large, but i got a thermaltake case which is pretty big so should be fine

Ah well i don't fancy messing about with having to buy extras n such, Thanks for the advice mate i'll take a good look at that one

following this thread ive ordered the following for my HD4870

My GTX died recently and the noise and heat from this 4870 means for the first time ever ill be colling a GPU on something other than a stock fan.

From thsoe who have used a similar setup to mine whats the general concensus of a reliable o/c i can expect with this setup?

Will post some piccies when its all arrived :D

BTW had to split it into seperate orders to avoid the £13quid postage for RMSD, booo for mainland only peeps lol

Okay i'm about to order my new Cooler, Although it's abit of a neck n neck for myself I'm looking at the Thermalright T-Rad2 but also what's peoples opinions on the Zalman GV1000 Quad Heatpipe? Bearing in mind i don't have any equipment for the card and have never had the need before this card to take a stock cooler off (first high end card i saved for) So for the trouble of heatsinks etc, i don't have any of it. :)

Hi mate, assuming you want aircooling I've used a Thermalright HR-03 R600 on my Powercolor 4870 in my HTPC. Everything fits & works just fine & dandy, U just have to play m,ix & match with some of smaller heatsinks for the VRM's etc. The temps the HR-03 can produce are awesome & as long as your 4870 is stock layout like mine the heatsink will fit just fine.

Its cooling ability is quite a bit lower though... So you'll get better temps with a v-rad or hr03... But you need to be able to remove that heat from your case...
