Unable to receive emals via virgin - Outlook 2007

For some strange reason I am unable to receive emails into outlook 2007.

ISP: Virgin (previously blueyonder rather than NTL).

Not a virgin email address, but one hosted on streamline.net.
Have been fine for over a year, but suddenly I get the following error (also for another email address, also not virgin):


Task 'email address - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I can see the emails via webmail completely fine and i know its not a streamline issue (otherwise the other email address would be fine).

Anyone else experienced this or have a clue what it could be?
 
Long shot but is the POP port open on the router? If you are behind one that is?

I've not got anything set for fowarding and no specific restrictions, this has not changed recently (or ever tbh!)

just uninstalled AVG, forgot i had recently installed v8. Issue gone.. must be something within the setup for email security within v8, will have a look around to see what can be done :]
