Team Fortress 2 - £6.99

Whats TF2 game play like?....fun ....instant respawn??

There are instant spawn servers but I generally steer clear of those, stick to vanilla if that's your bag, plenty about.

Game play-wise, TF2 is very easy to just pick up and immediately start killing. Most people are sort of just in it for the laugh so you generally have a great time. It can be hectic at times too - sappers, rockets, ubers, crits, flames everywhere :D - especially if the attacking team are right on top of the last control point, say on the last stage of Dustbowl, which is probably my favourite map.

For £6.99 it has got to be a bargain, but I'd happily pay £20 for it.

If you're going in as a new player, I suggest maybe going straight for the Engie class. People will say he's the noob class or the boring class but you can have great fun and be credit to team!

Or maybe try the Pyro, but be prepared to be laughing too much at his antics - he still makes me laugh even after a year :D Just run around with your mouse1 button constantly pressed and you'll soon set every enemy on fire within 30 feet, which is good fun I have to say! :D

All in all, TF2 is easily my favourite game of all time, and it is absolutely nothing like CSS and its hard core gamers, like I say, most people are purely in it for the laugh!

i tend to just play on the servers that come up like Wireplay / GTFO, especially on badwater only

Wireplay I like but the GTFO servers and their fake player numbers are rather annoying so I don't go there anymore.

Seems more and more servers are showing fake player numbers these days, nothing more annoying than going into a server that stated 26/32 players to find you're the only one there.

I like the UKMD Badwater only server, great map and a good server with plenty people just in it for the laugh.

The Hampshire Heavies servers are usually good but sometimes I find there's too many clan members in them who take it way too seriously, which sort of kills the fun a bit.

Do you play using the name Bledd?

(I'm sure I've seen a player with that name.)

I reckon Valve will do something about the fake players, sooner or later.

That's why I won't go in any server that does it - in the hope they're always empty and the admins see the error of their ways and decide to use the correct player numbers.

No way, most of the people aren't clan members but community members, and I wouldn't say it was serious business at all!!

Don't get me wrong, usually it's a good game in there, it's just sometimes when certain clan/community members are present it gets a bit serious I find. As a result the HH servers aren't my first choice anymore, maybe third or fourth, but I still go in sometimes.

Another thing that annoys me is class restrictions - I just think that should be taken out of the game for good.

Just ignore them, you do get a couple, and most of the time they will bugger off to another server, you get a good bunch of lads/lasses on there normally, and some good games, beginner friendly as well.

Easiest way to tell clanners/regs apart is, league/clan players have HH before the name, regs after.

Members have |H|H| before their names
League players have -HH- before their names
Regulars have @ |H|H| after their names

:)

it's not worth 7quid :o

How wrong are you :D

I have played TF2 on and off since it was released but have really got in to it recently and its one of the best games I have ever played. It's *nearly* as fun as TFC was back in the day and nobody takes things too seriously. I find the GTFO Gaming servers to be very good along with the HH servers.

See you lot in-game ;)
